The Illustrated Myth: Due October 30th
Your assignment is to work with a partner to create an original myth that explains a belief, custom, or natural phenomenon through the actions of gods or heroes. Be sure that your myth teaches a lesson or a moral and includes illustrations that complement the myth as it unfolds.
Your myth should resemble a kind of book. You can staple the pages together and either print and glue the text or write it neatly below each picture. In essence, you are creating a picture book to illustrate your story.
In order to make a good grade your myth must have the elements mentions above and it MUST:
-Explain a phenomenon, belief or custom
-Teach a lesson
-Keep in the theme of choice
-Have gods/goddesses
- Have the elements of a sound plot structure: exposition, rising action/s, climax, falling action/s, and resolution
-Use characterization techniques: dialogue, action, and thought
-Use vivid details: figurative language and sensory details
